Note: A perspective quilt can also be created in EQ4, but it is much easier in EQ5! Here's how I layered the blocks for the 3-D quilt in Custom Set:
More fun with borders in EQ5!
Look what we can do now with the virtual border available in EQ5! More fun with hexagons in EQ5. The
Hexagon Log Cabin blocks were drawn in Patchdraw and saved with out
background to make free floating hexagons. They are set on Layer 2 of a
Custom Set layout. Having Snap to Grid on the quilt layers and using
Copy & Paste makes for quick work for a quilt like this!
How about hexagons in 3-D? Instructions on how to make the hexagon Flower Cube block are in my EQ5 Drawing book. I added a few extra lines to get the 3-D yellow triangles. You would not have to sew these triangles in half like shown, but this is a way to make them in EQ5 so you can play with fabrics. If you really want to sew one, get yourself one of Sara Nephew's nifty Super 60 rulers.
Here is a stained glass quilt after the style of Frank Lloyd Wright window art. This is not a traced copy of one of his windows, but one I did from scratch on my own.
